Nima and the History of Partow Gallery
Nima Partow is the third generation of a family whose passion for beautiful things is expressed through the enchanting carpet business. The family business started with his great-grandfather in Iran. Much like his father, Nima was groomed to take over the thriving family establishment, but he was a big dreamer and was very adamant about trying new and exciting things. Journeying around the world was on the top of his list. At the age of 20, he traveled to the United States where he emerged into the restaurant industry in the capital city of Washington DC. Within a short period time, he realized his passion indeed lied within the carpet business, and was determined to make his mark in the Western hemisphere.

In 1975, Nima opened the first Partow Gallery in Mexico City. Through hard work, dedication, and an innate expertise, Nima made the Mexico enterprise wildly successful. By the year 2000, a total of 5 stores were opened in Mexico and his son was well underway to become the 4th generation of carpet dealers. Nima finally revisited his lifelong dream of running a successful business in the United States. He came to Los Angeles, California to undertake that great challenge. Now standing at 655 S. La Brea Ave is Partow Gallery and its immaculate 4,000 square feet carpet and art showroom.
